Change from system role to multi requestable/unsubscribable resource

When a product in the IT shop has a system role attached to the service item, is there a way to change it to a multi requestable/unsubscribable resource without cancelling existing orders made by users?

  • Hi,

    please check support.oneidentity.com/.../2

"The IT Shop distinguishes between single or multiple requestable products. Single request products are, for example, applications, system roles, or Active Directory groups. These products cannot be requested if they have already been be requested for the same time period."

What do you want to achieve anyway?

We have > 20 000 products in Our IT-Shop, and some products that should have been multi requstable (because there is a one-to-many relationship between product in the IT-shop and what access you may get in the various applications which are manually handled) was imported with system roles instead. A lot ot the products have been ordered so ideally we do not want the end users to be bothered with cancelling the products and have them ordering the products again.

  • Ok, thanks for the explanation.

For starters, while the existing requests don't get cancelled, they're not updated with a new ObjectKeyOrdered, and there might be more problems I'm missing now. I think the cleaner solution is to create a new service item, and to create matching requests for the employees in question programmatically.
