SPS as RD Gateway

Hello,

We are planning to deploy OneIdentity SPS for session monitoring. We want to deploy it as a Remote Desktop Gateway in front of a windows server (Session Host) so that HTTP session will be recorded and replayed as video.

I want to know if it will be possible to open multiple sessions RDP in that case or we will need to deploy Windows RDS?

In case, we need RDS, how will the license be managed? Note: We have RDS Device CAL license model.

Knowing that all traffic will go through the SPS, is this considered as one device?

Using SPS as a Remote Desktop Gateway does not change the RDS requirements on the back-end. For more details on using SPS as a Remote Desktop Gateway, please see the link below:

So, how can I configure SPS as RDGateway so that it will be used by Microsoft RDS to publish RemoteApps?

Is it required that SPS must join the same domain as RDS?

Hi,

SPS will allow you to connect to your existing RemoteApps using the RDP protocol but it is not used to publish the applications itself:

SPS can be used as a Remote Desktop Gateway. The terminal service clients must be configured to use SPS as the Remote Desktop Gateway. SPS will connect the server (selected inband) after authentication. ... The default port for RDP connections is 3389, but the Remote Desktop Gateway Server Protocol uses port 443.
