City realizes its vision of becoming a smart city with One Identity solutions

[MUSIC PLAYING] One of our customers is a major city here in the United States. They had growing concerns about how people were accessing very sensitive data about citizens and who could access it. One of the challenges that was given to us very early on in the project was this idea that they have a limited budget but a grand vision. They need products that are both affordable and easy to implement, that take their very complex environments and simplify them. And that's one of the strengths we feel that the One Identity Solutions bring to the state and local government environment. This particular organization has a deep desire to be seen on a global scale as a smart city. In order to be a smart city, they really need to have security at their centerfold. They had very little access to the data, in terms of who was getting access to what inside the organization, as well as the ability to increase password management to be able to allow end users to be able to reset their passwords without intervention from a help desk. We recommended Startling and Safeguard to implement two-factor authentication and also to provide some great audit trails about who was accessing the data. We had proposed the One Identity Solution Suites because they would help to capture that organization's vision, but also be able to keep them on budget and on task for what they were trying to achieve. They can confidently communicate to their citizens that their data is both secure and only accessible by the folks that need see it.
