SAP compliance and governance? Done!

My name is Massimiliano Ferrazzi and I'm the Senior Manager of global IT services and operations. I'm leading the infrastructure operations within Hartman. The Hartman group is one of the European leading providers of medical devices and hygiene products. The company has, today, 11,000 employees. And we generate 2 billion euro sales. Every user within our company has an identity, and the identity is linked to multiple accounts. So today we all use many applications. And those applications are impacted by different users. So that means that we have multiple accounts for each single employee within the company. Today we have around 8,000 employee digital identities plus 2,000 external. So you can imagine that if we have an average of three user accounts per identity, there is more than 25,000 accounts to be managed. And in that case, identity management is key for a company to be secure and ensure the user success and control of those successes. We implemented One Identity in 2015 when we addressed the SAP issues. We wanted to monitor the provisioning of the permissions and accounts mainly on the SAP. That's one of the benefits. And we know exactly when something changed, who has changed that. And this enabled us to obviously improve the security at first. And when SAP is down, the SAP support team needs to go there and fix it. Special users are the so-called firefighters, and they need to shut down access to users with a specific system or to a specific part of the application. And so on. And those guys require a high level of privileges. So it is really important for us to monitor those actions. And this way we improve the security. With regards to the business benefits, obviously this is also the automation shorten the time. And we move from around one month of time for onboarding to a few hours. And that's one of the benefits for us in that case. During these years, we extended the use of One Identity to the other multiple accounts to full identities. And then only to SAP. And what we like, actually, is the ease of doing changes and applying those changes to multiple applications. Integration with SAP out of the box is exceptional.
