How to transfer users and deploy access in the Provisioning Module of One Identity as a Service

In this video, we'll look at Dell One Identity as a Service's provisioning capabilities as it pertains to a user job change or role-based job changes, basically staying in line with [INAUDIBLE] principles. So over here, we're looking at a user by name Mickey Mouse, who will be onboarded as a contractor if you looked at some of the previous videos. As a contractor, he has access primarily just to active directory groups and any application that relies on AD of authentication and authorization. So he does not currently have access to any enterprise applications, which are used primarily by employees, such as Oracle E-Business Suite. So let's say the manager has chosen to hire Mickey Mouse as an employee. He's given him a full-time offer. And basically, he goes ahead and makes that change in the HR system. And he's modified to the role of employee. And basically, the Identity System's able to recognize that Mickey Mouse as gone from a contractor to an employee, and has moved him to an Employee role and given him access to E-Business suite, and then has sent out an email to the manager with the employee's E-Business Suite account as well as the password. And now, when the employee logs into his Identity portal, he will see that his role has changed from that of a contractor to an employee, and he's also got additional privileges and accounts on the E-Business Suite system in addition to Active Directory, which he had access to in the past. So now, when the manager shares the EBS credentials with the employee, the employee will then be able to log into Oracle E-Business Suite, which we are able to provision from our cloud-based Identity solution. And Oracle E-Business Suite, basically, over here, has been set up with a policy that on first-time login, the employee needs to reset his password. This, of course, can be disabled, and our Identity solution can control all passwords on Oracle EBS as well. So that basically is how Dell One's Identity as a Service's role-based provisioning and job change use cases work.
