As artificial intelligence (AI) advances, it’s begun to play a critical role in shaping identity security, offering both protection and new vulnerabilities. AI-driven authentication systems like biometrics, facial recognition and behavioral analysis have greatly strengthened identity verification.
However, the same technology also introduces risks. For example, increasingly sophisticated deepfakes may defeat some biometric authentication systems. AI can also be used to commit identity theft and various types of fraud.
This paper examines the intersection of AI and identity security, highlighting the benefits and challenges of AI-driven authentication and regulatory concerns, as well as the critical role AI plays in shaping the future of identity security.
