Adding an Asset and Asset Group to PAM Essentials

[MUSIC PLAYING] Hello. In this short video, we will demonstrate adding a new asset group and asset to PAM Essentials. Once you have configured and validated your network segment, you can now add an asset group and asset. Navigate to configuration infrastructure assets. This is where you can manage the asset groups and individual assets within those groups. Asset groups are secured containers for groups of assets or systems that you want to give users access to. To add a new group, click, New Asset Group. Fill the name, optional description, and click, Create a Group. Next, click Add Assets to Group to assign assets to the asset group. Select Add Assets Manually. Fill out the asset name, platform type, select the network segment, add the IP or host name, provide the service account credentials for the local account with admin privileges. This account will be used to create a new service account with the password secured by PAM Essentials. Click Add Asset. You have now successfully added a new asset to PAM Essentials. Now, let's add an existing asset to an asset group. Navigate to configuration, infrastructure assets. Select the group name where the asset or assets are to be added. Click Add Assets to Group. Select from assets in PAM. Select one or more assets from the available list. Click Add to Group to assign the assets to the asset group. You have now added the assets to the asset group.
